This piece took over 150 hours to create and featured in HOME Manchester’s HOME Manchester’s ‘Manchester Open 2020′ exhibition (18th January 2020 – 17th March 2020). Each strand of fur and the detailing in the sweater was all hand drawn. Due to HOME’s fondness for the piece, I was one of three artists asked to attend the press event beforehand, leading to me featuring on TV in BBC One’s North West Tonight and in an article by Cotton On MCR.
Willow is my sister’s friend’s dog that I would help puppysit some Saturdays. I adored her mischievous and sleepy nature, and I wanted to capture that in my art.
